What is World Ocean Day?

 why is the hashtag of #WorldOceanDay is trending on twitter today?


World Ocean Day is on June 8th as it is held every year only to raise awareness about how important is our ocean and how it plays a very important part in our life and how important for us to care about it, as it is supposed to be international celebration among all countries to aware children about this yearly event.

As this global event helps people gather around to know how to connect with the ocean who connect all countries together, as this event highlight to keep the ocean clean as possible in order to have a better future.

This idea was made by the Canadian Government in 1992 as it was organized by the ocean project group since 2003, as the years went by the more goals and recognition this yearly event have from people, this day aims to educate people and to know more about how much plastic hurting the ocean and destroys it as the days goes by, this event also shows tips on how to use less plastic items and raise the awareness about how can plastic be very damaging for future. 

It is a very interesting yearly event, people celebrate it in their unique way to show their art, from short movies to art to also having beach cleaning festival.
