An earthquake has shaken up California-Nevada borders on Thursday afternoon as it triggered a series of aftershocks with at least one with a 4.6 magnitude, the USGS said.
Graham Kent, director of the University of Nevada Stated that “this would be the largest one in almost two and a half decades, It’s 5.9 and some change — to the average person, it’s a magnitude 6.0.” This earthquake was so strong that it was felt in two different states, by 6 pm more than 20,000 reports coming into the USGS website.
As city hall was evacuated after the earthquake as people feeling that the big one is coming up, as The National Weather Service offices in Sacramento stated that they felt this one for almost one minute, social media users stating that they found out their windows or their pool are shaking.

The earthquake Thursday afternoon pales in comparison to the 7.1 earthquake that occurred in Southern California in 2019. That earthquake, shaking Ridgecrest, was 15 times bigger and 63 times stronger than this one
There were no reports of injury or serious damage as it struck at 3:49 pm in a region about 250 miles (402 kilometers) east of San Francisco and south of Lake Tahoe, rocks coming down from hills on the roads which are very scary and harmful, all people were tweeting and posting on social media about how scary was this experience as everyone was talking on his own point of view and where they were at this time of the natural disaster.
