What's Happening?
The well known Bassist passed away at the age of 72, as the main band had announced it as he was one of the top members of ZZ, as the announcement stated by other top members Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard that he died at his house while he was sleeping, in Houston, Texas.
Their next show was canceled due to this sudden news, they stated:
"We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX, we, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature, and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top'.We will forever be connected to that Blues Shuffle in C. You will be missed greatly, amigo. Frank & Billy
He was born in Dallas and tried to start his music career there but later then he moved to Housten where he met the other band members.
The band was formed early in 1969, Hill joined a couple of years later and didn't left since then, he performed a lot of songs that had hit as he also did a 15 studio album, famous songs like "La Grange," "Tush" and "Gimme All Your Lovin'."
Before his death, the band announced that he was going to be sidelined due to a hip problem, the guitarist Elwood Francis, stepped in for Hill and added in their news that the show must go on.
