Why do Americans celebrate 4th of July?

Every year Americans celebrate the fourth of July, but a lot of foreigners don't know why they celebrate it, so let me tell you! 


July fourth is also know for its independence day, this holiday started in 1776 as today's markers 245 years old today, as it is celebrated due to the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, signaling the official separation of the 13 original colonies from Great Britain amid the Revolutionary War.

All Americans celebrate it by doing fairs, concerts, family reunions, carnivals, barbeque parties, and many more, fireworks and even public and private events celebrating the history of America.




Here are some interesting facts about this day:

1. The White House’s First 4th of July Celebration Happened In 1801
2. Statistics found out that 150 million hotdogs are eaten on this day!
3. The first person who signed up for the Declaration Of Independence is John Hancock but was the oldest one to sign the Declaration Of Independence is Benjamin Franklin.
4. The holiday began to be celebrated after almost a century after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
5. More Than 16,000 Fireworks Displays Happen Each July 4th.

 What's Happening?
