What's Happening?
It was stated by the country that the wildfires that are currently happening in Algeria killed nearly about 65 people, as the country is battling through this problem for a couple of days now, the government ordered the army to help out which really burnt the mountains and 28 soldiers are dead until now, as was reported on the national television, the soldiers were killed in different areas, some while trying to extinguish the flames and others after they were cut off by the spreading fire.
There are a lot of houses that were burnt, families were running away taking all they need and going to hotels that are away from the fire, not only hotels but also youth hostels and university residences, one of the people who ran away to the hotel who was Mohamed Kaci said "We had a horror night. My house is completely burnt"
It was declared by president Abdelmadjid Tebboune that there is three-day mourning and froze state activities not related to the fires.
Macron the French president stated that they would send two water bombers as all he wants is to "bring all our support to Algerian citizens"
The country has limited access to water which made it worse for the people lived there, there is a climate crisis these days and scientists have warned us about this for many years that it would happen as not only Algeria is having this problem, the forest fires in Greece and Turkey is burnet as well.
The government has said it will compensate those affected.
