Things you have to do when you come to Cairo, Egypt!

Hello nice readers, I'm Farah a girl who lives in Egypt, so the purpose of this blog is to tell you some really good places in Egypt to visit and what to be careful about when you come here to Egypt.

Firstly, Mostly Egyptians here are very kind heart people, they will help you if you are lost, most of the Egyptian people really have bad English but will try to communicate with you, so don't worry at all.

1. Pyramids, Giza 

One of the seven wonders around the world, it's amazing to see history like that in your country, one of the amazing experiences here in Egypt that you can see and touch the history itself, its the best feeling ever, so you can go with the car and you park in the garage, please avoid any scammers, in the beginning, no don't accept their help and rides, the tickets are up before the pyramids, you can get a "Kareta" or a Camel that walks you around the pyramids, you can go inside the pyramids but for Closter phobic people like me, its a no no situation.

 

2. Cairo Tower.

One of the most breathtaking places in cair, the ticket is not that expensive at all, but for the corona time it is per time, every tourist goes up for 30 min to take pictures, videos, and sightseeing because the tower overlooks mostly around Cairo, you can see the Nile and many other things, I recommended to go at the time where the sun is going down because you can see both Cairo in sun and in the night which both is amazing.

3. Khan El-Khalili Bazaar

A magical place, Khan el Khalili is a long walk where you walk along the corridor and see a lot of places where you can buy literally anything from there, one thing if you went to Egypt before is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, it is also magical walking between old buildings with amazing architecture from the old times.

4. Egyptian Museum.

Wanna know more about Egypt and its history, go to the national museum it is amazing and very simple but at the same time impressive how they placed everything in the place, you can get a guide at the door or ask the hotel and they can get you one!

5. The Citadel.

One of the historical places you can visit, it tells you about the history of Muhammed Ali and you can join the mosque and see how amazing it is from the inside, I went there myself and it was so pretty and magical for me, so one of my biggest recommendations is to go there.

6. Go to Azhar Park.

If you went to the mosque, after it you can do a little picnic around Azhar park because you can literally see everything from up there, it is pretty amazing actually.

7. Do a Floukka in the Nile.

Okay, you need to do this, you can take a little boat on the Nile and get food or whatever you want or even put some music on if you want, but try it I did it a lot of times here in Egypt and it's a lifetime experience.

Tips to do when you come to Cairo.

-  when you go anywhere to do anything, do not do it or take it without asking for a price first, like a taxi or even a ride camel or take pictures, to avoid scammers, if the taxi is putting a counter for the ride that's okay.

-  when you go on buses or any ride that have a lot of people, don't leave your wallet in your back pocket, because scammers are everywhere.
