World Blood Donor Day!

So today marks to be world donation day on the calendar, 14th of June, as this day was made to encourage people to do blood donations as it isn't only a service but its even more humanity, its aim to spread awareness about this day and how it benefits other people for their need of safe blood and donation.


This day was made as an event to aware people and encourage them about donation, safe blood is needed for everyone, every couple of seconds a blood donation is needed as health is a human right that every person should have, and its available when its needed at every location in the world, it will help in saving lives and increase the chance of better health care systems and health coverage.

Today or World Blood Donation day is about the care you give and volunteering in something that will help eventually, not even in the country you only donate as your blood can help people with less health system, as this day is celebrated because thank people who donates and aware others about this day, raise a voice also about quitting bad habits like smoking and encourage young people to donate as well.

There are different types of people who needs blood donations like pregnant women that have complications, children suffering from malaria and people who have big surgeries that need a lot of blood donation. 

Lastly it benefits you as a person as well, there are a lot of benefits you gain from donating your blood:

  • Donating helps you because it lowers the iron in your body as well reduce the risk of heart diseases as it was stated that people who donate have a 88% lower risk at having heart diseases.
  • Losing weight.
  • It increase the psychological part in your human side which means lift and make you happy that your helping others.
  • It makes the body stay healthy and productive.
  • Free health up check.
